“As an editor, Rachel’s expertise is matched only by her compassion. She approached my writing with so much curiosity and enthusiasm — while also knowing how and when to challenge my thinking. When we were finished, my work felt like a stronger and more authentic expression of my ideas. I can’t thank her enough!”

Editing Into Possibility
You just gotta put your butt in that chair and get through it.
Writing is the worst—and you have to do it anyway.
How many times have we heard this philosophy, even from writers we admire?
I don’t buy it for one second.
Writing is a gift. And sure, it can be difficult work. But it is such a profound medium through which to process, to speak out, to tell hard truths, to inspire joy and create meaning. And I think you deserve to feel that in every step of your journey.
As a writer myself, I understand how vulnerable, personal, and downright difficult the editorial process can be. My approach as an editor is collaborative, with an emphasis on exploring, experimenting, and returning to play. Let’s dive into your work together and analyze what it is asking for, the golden truths it’s looking to unearth, and find ways to take it there.
I’m not here to tell you what your writing should look like, sound like, or say. Spelling and grammar are tools to convey meaning. So while I’m well-versed in the letter of the rules, I’m just as well-versed in the spirit of the rules. And I know how to utilize those rules to guide your writing to success with any audience.
I’m here to partner with you and help your writing embody what you envision.
